My name is Kathleen V. Kovacs and I've been a hair professional since 1995!
I am a licensed cosmetologist and extremely knowledgeable in my field. I am considered a highly trained professional color specialist and hair stylist. Passionate about putting all my experience to use!
My goal is to create the best work possible using my knowledge, tools, products, common sense and raw talent while educating every guest about how to maintain and even recreate their look. My passion is working with hair in creating custom color, designing an updated look or helping someone reinvent themselves with a completely fresh look.
Experience:
Training with Redken NYC numerous times with the best that there is. Patrick McIvor my true friend and mentor taught me color. Martin Parsons consider the Hairdressing KING the best in the Industry taught me everything I know about hairdressing, the list is endless. Using my experience and knowledge for color competitions and hairdressing for photo shoots. Don't want to be ordinary only EXTRORDINARY.
Education:
Career Academy of Hair in Anaheim, CA furthering my education by attending color classes on the side - intensely focusing on color products and techniques. Applying my knowledge on friends and family, while raising my daughter) volunteering hair services to school drama departments, and practicing styling, designs and learning hair types, figuring out what works and experimenting with various styling products.
Philanthropy:
I have a heart for those who cannot help themselves.
I regularly volunteer my services at nursing and retirement homes, Orangewood Children's Home, John Henry Foundation, and Vitas Hospice.
Activities:
When I am not behind the chair I enjoy Pilates, snow skiing, bike riding, power walking, playing frisbee. Love going to Seal Beach and helping the environment by cleaning up the beach!
Interests:
Hair, Hair, Hair, Love photo shoots - being able to master the impossible. Make overs are truly my inspiration! My passion is COLOR.
